What are PSU’s odds for Big Ten championship? And for national title?

Many people expect Penn State to be one of the top contenders for a Big Ten football title this fall, so let’s take a look at what the oddsmakers have to say about it.

According to BetOnline.ag, the Nittany Lions are tied for the third-best odds to win the Big Ten in 2022. These are the odds as the season is less than four months away, listed in two formats:

Ohio State 2/3 (-150)

Wisconsin 8/1 (+800)

Michigan 17/2 (+850)

Penn State 17/2 (+850)

Iowa 11/1 (+1100)

Indiana 12/1 (+1200)

Northwestern 12/1 (+1200)

Nebraska 14/1 (+1400)

Minnesota 20/1 (+2000)

Michigan State 50/1 (+5000)

Purdue 50/1 (+5000)

Rutgers 50/1 (+5000)

Maryland 80/1 (+8000)

Illinois 100/1 (+10000)

There also are odds listed here for the national championship. Alabama is +260 and Clemson +475, followed by Ohio State +650 and Georgia +700.

Penn State came in tied for 15th with odds of +6600.

There are no Nittany Lion players listed in the odds for the Heisman Trophy.
