Penn State is one of the finalists for transfer center Dusan Mahorcic, a 6-foot-10, 230-pounder from Illinois State who averaged 9.9 points and 7.2 rebounds in 22 games last season in the Missouri Valley Conference.
Here’s the initial report on Mahorcic, who is from Belgrade, Serbia. The junior was supposed to announce his decision today but has moved it back to next week, according to the story. Here are his other finalists:

Mahorcic would be a big get for Penn State, both literally and figuratively. He is a big man who could help the Nittany Lions’ with inside muscle in the Big Ten, most likely as a backup center to John Harrar, or if coach Micah Shrewsberry ever wanted to utilize two big men on the court at the same time.
He may be looking for a spot where he can step in and start right away, and Penn State probably can’t guarantee that with Harrar returning. Then again, Mahorcic may not find such a guarantee anywhere among his finalists, all of which are strong programs.
