The top recruit in Pennsylvania for the class of 2022 did not include Penn State in his top eight schools, which comes on the heels of him announcing last month that he’s not even taking an official visit to PSU.

Enai White, (6-5, 230) a 4-star weak side defensive end from Imhotep Charter in Philadelphia, announced his top eight schools Tuesday night. Penn State rival Ohio State did make the cut, but not the Nittany Lions.

The other finalists are Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Texas A&M, Oregon, Georgia and Miami.

White has official visits planned for Florida, Georgia, Ohio State and Alabama in June. He previously said he was planning to take an unofficial visit to Penn State.

The Lions have done well with Pennsylvania recruits for the class of 2022, landing four commitments among the top 12 players and being heavily involved with No. 2 (RB Nicholas Singleton) and No. 3 (Keenan Nelson Jr.).

Penn State just hasn’t been able to gain much attraction, though, with the top player White, who ranks as the nation’s No. 39 prospect, according to 247Sports.
