Welcome ‘home’: Football early enrollees arrive

Photo from Nate Bruce Twitter

Classes for Penn State’s spring semester start Tuesday, which means football players returning to campus. That includes the early enrollees in the 2021 recruiting class.

The Nittany Lions have seven early enrollees this spring, and some of them posted on Twitter that they are “home,” indicating they’ve arrived in State College.

The seven enrollees are: OT Landon Tengwall, QB Christian Veilleux, OG Nate Bruce, DE Rodney McGraw, CB Jeffrey Davis Jr. and twin brothers CB Kalen King and LB Kobe King.

It’s unclear how many of the seven early enrollees arrived over the weekend. Three of them wrote Sunday on Twitter that they had arrived.

You can read all about these early enrollees and all members of PSU’s 2021 recruiting class in our signing day preview.

While classes start Tuesday, Penn State is not bringing students back to campus until Feb. 15. They will learn remotely until then.

All the students, that is, except for athletes. Those in season have remained on campus throughout the winter to compete in their sports, and now the football players are coming back.

There may have been some question as to whether the football players might be able to stay home until Feb. 15, but that apparently is not the case.

Here’s a look at some of the tweets sent out by football early enrollees upon arriving in State College on Sunday.
