Penn State landed another big commitment for the class of 2022 on this New Year’s Day, as 4-star athlete Mehki Flowers committed to the Nittany Lions.
PSU has eight commits in the class of 2022, all from 4-star recruits. That gives the Lions the No. 2 recruiting class in the nation in the 247Sports rankings.

Flowers (6-foot-1, 190) is from Steelton-Highspire High in Harrisburg, and he’s rated the No. 4 prospect in Pennsylvania by 247Sports. His addition gives PSU four of the top 10 and five of the top 12 recruits in PA for the class of 2022.
4: ATH Mehki Flowers (6-1, 190)
5: OT Drew Shelton (6-5, 255)
7: DE Ken Talley (6-3, 230)
8: WR Anthoney Ivey (5-11, 170)
12: QB Beau Pribula (6-2, 195)
Flowers is projected to be either a wide receiver or defensive back, and he wants to play both sides of the ball. The Penn State coaching staff can be seen discussing wanting him to play both sides in a fun recruiting video they sent him, with all the coaches wearing his No. 9.
