Welcome to our daily Nittany Notebook. This post will be updated frequently throughout the day with news, notes and sometimes entertaining info. So be sure to check back often to stay on top of everything that’s going on with Penn State football and athletics, plus other sports of interest in central PA.

Update: 11 a.m.

**For the second straight day, an offensive line recruit has announced he will graduate high school early to enroll at Penn State in the spring.

Guard Nate Bruce, a 6-foot-4, 320-pound 3-star recruit from Harrisburg High, posted this on Twitter Friday morning.

Bruce’s announcement comes a day after 4-star offensive tackle Landon Tengwall announced he’ll be enrolling early at PSU.

Bruce posted this earlier this year of him and Tengwall.

Update: 10:45 a.m.

**One day after the Penn State men won on a buzzer-beating 3-pointer by Myles Dread against VCU, the Penn State women won on a buzzer beater against Rhode Island.

Makenna Marisa did the honors for PSU with a layup at the horn for a 70-69 victory Thursday night.
