The NFL is certainly king in this country, but frankly, many people prefer college football over the pros — and for many reasons.
I posted this question Sunday on Twitter: Which do you prefer, college or the NFL?
Now, I’m a Penn State beat writer and editor of a Penn State news site, so certainly the people who are following me on Twitter and likely to vote in the poll are PSU fans.
Still, this vote total was incredibly lopsided with more than 300 votes.
Below are some of the responses fans posted on Twitter.
I'm a Buffalo Bills fan. If they're on I'm locked on, but I struggle watching other teams play. For some reason, I can lock in to Cincinnati and Temple. I guess I like the weekly drama of CFB better

Granted there are far more cfb teams. Thereโs excess blowouts & talent discrepancies.
Cfb is more exciting…thatโs due to inferior defenses.
Games are closer in the nfl. Special teams are infinitely better. Far different game.
I prefer the speed and defenses at the highest LV.— BK19 ๐ช (@bk_TSM) September 27, 2020
College. More games. Easier to watch since they're on so many channels and spread out more. Games are more unpredictable. And the sport embraces history and tradition more which I really enjoy. Each team has their own thing which you can enjoy even if you're not an alum.

Passion.

Itโs like choosing between Lobster and Steak. Nod goes to NCAA for the connection to school and traditions. Game sounds better on TV. Nothing like hearing the sound of the band along with the crowd.

College !! But with the possible end to Big Benโs career itโs time to enjoy and watch possible 1-3 yrs left of his career before itโs over letโs hope for a title like the Bus and Peyton did before retirement

Managing the salary cap & draft is far more difficult than recruiting.
Thereโs a ton of college stats who are busts like Matt Leinart.
Iโm not too keen on teams scoring 35+. Softer coverages & defensive lines in college.Parity is great.

College By Far . But not This Particular Season.

College, but only with full stadiums and all the usual pageantry. It's not the same right now.

I generously like the NFL game better but nothing beats watching an unranked team beating one of the top 10 teams.
