Syracuse is +21.5 at Pitt, and I’ll take the Orange to cover. Barely.
The Panthers looked awesome in annihilating lowly Austin Peay last week, 55-0. The Orange gave a strong effort for three quarters, trailing 10-6, before falling apart in the fourth of their 31-6 loss at North Carolina.
I have little doubt Pitt will win this game. The Panthers have tons of talent.
I know, I know, Pitt fans will say, “Oh look, a Penn State writer picking against Pitt! Of course.”

Still, games in this series are usually close. Pitt won’t play quite so lights out again, and I predict the Orange offense will be a little better this week. And by the way, a whole bunch of national prognosticators are taking the Orange plus the 21.5 points, so it’s not just the crazy PSU writer!
