Penn State football added a Friday night commitment from a state that James Franklin is known to recruit well in.
Amauri Polydor, a three-star defensive back from Baltimoreโs St. Frances Academy, announced that heโs committing to Penn State.
Polydor also had offers from schools such as Michigan State, Indiana, Maryland, South Carolina, Syracuse, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.
Heโs taking his official visit to Penn State this weekend and was scheduled to take one to Michigan State the following week. That visit is presumably off the table now.
Polydor was offered by Penn State in February and talked with On3Sports about it.
โThis offer means a lot to me, especially because they arenโt that far from home,โ he said this winter. โThis is a school Iโve liked since I was young. This is one of my popsโ favorite colleges. Just off that alone, this offer is really important to me and I look forward to keep building a great bond with the coaching staff.โ
