Penn State football added a Friday night commitment from a state that James Franklin is known to recruit well in.
Amauri Polydor, a three-star defensive back from Baltimore’s St. Frances Academy, announced that he’s committing to Penn State.
Polydor also had offers from schools such as Michigan State, Indiana, Maryland, South Carolina, Syracuse, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.
He’s taking his official visit to Penn State this weekend and was scheduled to take one to Michigan State the following week. That visit is presumably off the table now.
Polydor was offered by Penn State in February and talked with On3Sports about it.
“This offer means a lot to me, especially because they aren’t that far from home,” he said this winter. “This is a school I’ve liked since I was young. This is one of my pops’ favorite colleges. Just off that alone, this offer is really important to me and I look forward to keep building a great bond with the coaching staff.”
