There was more than enough to be upset about on Twitter following Penn State’s 45-37 loss to Oregon Saturday night. Officiating and James Franklin were the maiu subjects, despite facing the No. 1 team in the nation.
Here is some of the best Twitter had to offer.
Penn State just proved tonight that they are truly one of the best teams in the country.
Anyone thinking otherwise either doesn’t know ball, has a bias against PSU, and/or is plain jealous.
Can’t wait for the home playoff game. #WeAre

Look I’m not one to bitch about officiating too much and I won’t blame them if we lose…
But it’s clear who they want to win.

Leave Tom Allen in Indianapolis.
An embarrassment.

I’ll tell you this…
After tonight, Penn State is the team no one wants to face in the first round.

Did anyone ever really believe Penn State was the third-best team in the country? How does this keep happening?
— Stewart Mandel (@slmandel) December 8, 2024
The committee should take into account the fact that Penn State battled both Oregon and the refs, tonight. Did Penn State botch some plays? Yes, definitely. But calls by the ref, tonight, were a disgrace.

oh no not Penn State underdelivering against a legitimate football team again

not calling a flag bc “boys will be boys” when it’s Oregon, but if that was Penn State “unnecessary roughness”

Props to James Franklin and Penn State. They absolutely came with a great offensive game plan and executed well.
They were physical, and ran the ball EXTREMELY well.
The uptempo offense and set plays were phenomenal.
