It’s Wednesday, and you know what that means: the ratings for last weekend’s Penn State football game are in.

3.09M tuned in, per the chart.
Topping that chart, as expected, was the SEC showdown between No. 2 Georgia and No. 4 Alabama in Tuscaloosa. That game, broadcast on ABC, turned into a classic, with Alabama winning 41-34. With 11.99M watching, this crushed the next-highest game, which was Oklahoma’s win at Auburn (5.04M). Colorado coach Deion Sanders always has a lot of eyes on him, and this weekend was no expedition. Colorado-UCF was the third-highest rated game at 4.17M.
Kentucky helped Penn State out but upsetting No. 6 Ole Miss in Oxford, since Penn State has been ranked No. 9.
That upset, along with Alabama and Georgia each being ahead of Penn State, led to PSU moving from No. 9 to No. 7 in the AP Poll.
Back to Kentucky and Ole Miss, 3.99M watched that game, making it the fourth-most watched.
Behind that was a Big Ten battle between Michigan and Minnesota in Ann Arbor.
Michigan won that game 24-17 some controversy toward the end. 3.60M watched that Big Noon kick on Fox, making it the fifth-highest rated game and the top Big Ten game.
Speaking of controversy, there maybe hasn’t been a more controversial finish this season than Virginia Tech and Miami Friday night.
Former Penn State HC Brent Pry and the Hokies fell on the Hail Mary TD that wasn’t.
3.26M watched that one on ESPN.
This Saturday, Penn State takes on UCLA.
Kickoff is scheduled for Noon on Fox.
