A lot of Penn State fans are already thinking about USC but before that it has to take care of UCLA, another school that’s in LA.
It hasn’t been an easy season for first-year coach DeShaun Foster, to say the least.
UCLA is 1-3, with its only win coming over Hawaii by a field goal in Week 1.
The next three games were all losses by three touchdowns or more, and Vegas is saying that this one will tell a similar story. Penn State is a 28.5-point favorite. But PSU hasn’t always covered the spread this season. Last week, it was favored by 17.5-points against Illinois. It ended up winning by seven. Two weeks before that, it was a 34.5-point favorite over Bowling Green and didn’t come anywhere near covering, winning by seven.
Anything can happen in sports but it’s hard to imagine No. 7 Penn State not beating UCLA by some margin, especially with Nick Singleton in the fold.
For a few days, many wondered if Singleton would be in the fold. He wasn’t seen Wednesday during the media’s weekly practice viewing window. At coach James Franklin’s post-practice scrum, the Penn State boss predictably didn’t give any insight into his player’s status. The following afternoon, RB coach Ja’Juan Seider was asked about Singleton, and like Franklin, didn’t give anything away.
Now, it’s apparent that Singleton will play per a report by Matt Zenitz of 247Sports.
As always, 100,000+ will be in attendance for this one. For those who won’t be, here’s more information on how to watch and listen to the game.
