A lot of Penn State fans are already thinking about USC but before that it has to take care of UCLA, another school thatโs in LA.
It hasnโt been an easy season for first-year coach DeShaun Foster, to say the least.
UCLA is 1-3, with its only win coming over Hawaii by a field goal in Week 1.
The next three games were all losses by three touchdowns or more, and Vegas is saying that this one will tell a similar story. Penn State is a 28.5-point favorite. But PSU hasnโt always covered the spread this season. Last week, it was favored by 17.5-points against Illinois. It ended up winning by seven. Two weeks before that, it was a 34.5-point favorite over Bowling Green and didnโt come anywhere near covering, winning by seven.
Anything can happen in sports but itโs hard to imagine No. 7 Penn State not beating UCLA by some margin, especially with Nick Singleton in the fold.
For a few days, many wondered if Singleton would be in the fold. He wasnโt seen Wednesday during the mediaโs weekly practice viewing window. At coach James Franklinโs post-practice scrum, the Penn State boss predictably didnโt give any insight into his playerโs status. The following afternoon, RB coach JaโJuan Seider was asked about Singleton, and like Franklin, didnโt give anything away.
Now, itโs apparent that Singleton will play per a report by Matt Zenitz of 247Sports.
As always, 100,000+ will be in attendance for this one. For those who wonโt be, hereโs more information on how to watch and listen to the game.
