James Franklin and his staff have done a tremendous job recruiting the state of Pennsylvania over the past couple of years.
For their Classes of 2022 thru 2024, the Nittany Lions have signed 22 players from Pennsylvania, 4 of which have been offensive lineman. In their current Class of 2025, Penn State already has 11 verbal commitments, 5 coming from Pennsylvania (4-star LB Dayshaun Burnett, 4-star LB Alex Tatsch, 3-star DB Xxavier Thomas, 4-star lineman Brady O’Hara and 4-star RB Tiqwai Hayes).
Today, an elite junior offensive tackle released his Top 12 and it included Penn State.
2025 4-star offensive tackle Michael Carroll (6’6″, 305-pounds) from Central Bucks East High School in Doylestown, Pennsylvania released a Top 12 of Penn State, Florida, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, Wisconsin, South Carolina, Rutgers, UCLA, Michigan and Texas.

Rivals.com rates Carroll as one of the Top 200 juniors in the country and the No. 6 prospect in the state.
