Penn State has offered Wyoming transfer Emmanuel Pregnon.
Pregnon is a 6-foot-6, 318-pound offensive guard who was named a second-team freshman All-American by the College Football News.
Pregnon tweeted this news late Sunday night that Penn State had extended an offer to him.
After a great conversation with @shadrich80 I am blessed to receive an offer from PENN STATE UNIVERSITY! #pennstate #pennstatefootball @PennStateFball pic.twitter.com/uEG1KuMZ5Y

In doing so, coach James Franklin’s program has joined schools such as Arizona, Arizona State, Auburn, Illinois, Kentucky, Oregon, Ole Miss, UCLA, Purdue. Keep in mind, Pregnon has only been in the portal since Saturday, which is when the latest window opened up.
Pro Football Focus had Pregnon as the third-highest-rated guard in the country from any class last season and also had him a freshman All-American. Although he hasn’t played for a Power Five program yet, his size should translate to the Big Ten or any other conference. Pregnon has experienced modern team success in his time at Wyoming. The Cowboys are 16-16 over the past three seasons and 1-1 in bowl games.
Although last season was Pregnon’s first year as a regular contributor for Wyoming, he had been with the program since 2020. He didn’t play in 2020 or 21. Pregnon hasn’t experienced much team success in college. Before coming to Wyoming, Pregnon played at Thomas Jefferson High School in Denver. He finished his high school career with 16 pancake blocks— 12 coming in his senior season.
Penn State hasn’t mad much trouble finding impressive offensive linemen in recent years. Led by Olu Fashanu, who will likely be a top-10 2024 NFL Draft Pick if this season goes according to plan, OL coach Phil Trautwein has a unit that’s expected to be one of Penn State’s strengths.
Additionally, Penn State’s two highest-rated Class of 2023 signees, J’ven Williams and Alex Birchmeier, are offensive linemen. Landon Tengwall was Penn State’s highest-rated Class of 2021 signee, and is projected to be the team’s starting left guard.
Adding Emmanuel Pregnon would certainly bolster an already strong group.
