Penn State in Top 5 For Class of 2025 4-Star ATH Quanell X. Farrakhan

Quanell X. Farrakhan Jr., a Class of 2025 fou—star ATH out of The Woodlands High School in The Woodlands, Texas, has narrowed his school wish list down to five, and Penn State made his final list.

Penn State’s is in the running along with Florida State, Georgia, TCU and Tennessee for Farrakhan (6-foot-2, 180 pounds) who is the 33rd-ranked player nationally, according to Rivals.com.

Farrakhan showed elite traits as a sophomore playing in the Greater Houston area by playing multiple positions. He excelled at running back, wide receiver, and defensive back. He recorded 38 catches for 532 yards and seven receiving touchdowns.

Farrakhan was a MaxPreps All-American, a three-time MaxPreps Player of the Game and a MaxPreps Special Teams Player of the Game as a Sophomore.

As a freshman, Farrakhan was named District Newcomer of the Year, received All-County honors and was named first-team All-District. He was the first freshman in Conroe ISD history to accomplish that feat.

Farrakhan spoke about Penn State to Nick Harris of Rivals.com when he broke down his top five and touched on the famous White Out game atmosphere.

“The White Out games are crazy,” Farrakhan said. “All the fans they have at each and everything, its always packed. Who wouldn’t want to play in front of thousands of people?”

Penn State would like to add Farrakhan to go along with offensive tackle Jaelyne Matthews from Toms River, New Jersey, to its 2025 recruiting class.
