On Sunday, the newest AP and Coaches’ Polls were released, and Penn State came in at No. 22 in the AP Poll and No. 23 in the Coaches Poll. This is the first time Penn State has been ranked this season in either poll.

Penn State came into the season unranked for the first time since 2016, but after a big conference win at Purdue and a dominant performance against Ohio, voters have taken notice.
Georgia is the new No. 1 team in the AP Poll with Alabama at No. 2, but Alabama still tops the Coaches poll with Georgia staying at second.
Ohio State is No. 3 in both polls. Michigan is No. 4 in the AP Poll and fifth in the Coaches, and Clemson rounds out the AP top five and is No. 4 in the Coaches poll.
Oklahoma, USC, Oklahoma State, Kentucky and Arkansas round out the top 10 in the AP Poll, while the Coaches Poll top 10 is rounded out by Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, USC, Michigan State and Kentucky.
Michigan State came in at No. 11 in the AP.
Wisconsin and Notre Dame have dropped out of both polls after upset losses to Washington State and Marshall, respectively.
Penn State will be ranked going into this showdown with Auburn Saturday afternoon.
Auburn received 16 votes in the Coaches’ Poll, and four votes from AP.
