**Penn State football has extended an offer to Jaylen Gilchrist, a freshman lineman from Salem High School in Virginia Beach.
Gilchrist (6-foot-5, 285 pounds) also has offers from Coastal Carolina, Duke, Georgia, Jackson State and Virginia Tech. Gilchrist visited Penn State’s Blue-White game April 23.
