Hi, what are you looking for?

2-Minute Morning

2-Minute Morning (9-19): Do any PSU fans root for Pitt, or other teams?

It’s a college football Saturday, but Penn State and the Big Ten won’t be playing for more than a month.

So, Cory Giger wonders what other teams around the country will Penn State fans find themselves rooting for in the meantime. And could one of those teams possibly even be archenemy Pitt?

That probably sounds crazy to some Nittany Lion fans. But there are a lot of families throughout central and western PA with split ties between PSU and Pitt, so maybe some Lion fans have no one better to root for than the Panthers.

(Note: I had a slip of the tongue in the video and said Syracuse is a favorite, then immediately corrected it by noting the Orange are +21.5 at Pitt. I’ve got Pitt winning the game, 34-13, but Syracuse covering the big number.)
