With the College Football Playoff semifinal hanging in the balance in the fourth quarter, Penn State’s top offensive weapon received a scare after falling hard to the ground.
Tight end Tyler Warren completed a 27-yard receiving play along the Penn State sideline before getting driven out of bounds where he would then fall flat on his back and hit his head hard on the ground.
Players quickly signaled for medical staff to attend to Warren, who would miss just a few minutes before returning to the game.
Warren has been critical to Penn State’s success this season as he leads the Nittany Lions with five receptions for 72 yards, along with 22 yards rushing.
Moments after Warren returned to the game against Notre Dame, Penn State would score on a 7-yard Nick Singleton rushing touchdown.
