University Park – Penn State head coach James Franklin is ready to embark on the 2024 football season.
Penn State put on the pads for the first time on Saturday and painted the picture of how spring ball and the summer have prepared the Nittany Lions for training camp.
Franklin begins the year with two new coordinators for the first time since 2016. Penn State won the Big Ten and went to the Rose Bowl in a thriller and instant classic against USC, where the Nittany Lions fell short. This time, Franklin had the responsibility of replacing his offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator, and special teams coach.
OC Andy Kotelnicki, DC Tom Allen, and ST coach Justin Lustig spoke to the media about how their positional groups have developed and how camp battles are taking shape. Penn State plays West Virginia in Morgantown on Saturday, August 31, at noon to begin the season.
