If a national report is accurate, Penn State is going to lose a 2025 4-star recruit.
On3’s Steve Wiltfong and Chad Simmons posted a tweet saying that current Penn State 4-star RB commit Alvin Henderson will be changing his commitment to Auburn.
The chances of Henderson sticking with Penn State is something that’s been talked about almost since he committed to The Nittany Lions back on April 11, 2024.
The biggest reason for the speculation is Henderson’s national ranking combined with him being from SEC country in Elba, Alabama.
Rivals.com rates Henderson as the No. 3 running back and the No. 36 overall player in the Class of 2025.
The interesting aspect on the timing of this report is that Henderson made his official visit to Penn State last weekend.

Despite his commitment to Penn State, Henderson was continually being recruited by other programs and held an impressive offer list from schools such as Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor, Colorado, Florida State, Georgia, Iowa, Miami, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, NC State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Pitt, South Carolina, Stanford, TCU, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, USC, Utah, Virginia Tech and Washington.
A couple things to keep in mind if this report ends up becoming reality. Along with Henderson, Penn State’s Class of 2025 includes two other running backs: 3-star Kiandrea Barker and 4-star Tiqwai Hayes. One other thing, this weekend, the Nittany Lions are hosting 4-star running back running back Jabree Wallace-Coleman.
