March Madness is an appropriate term for fan bases of teams that are on the NCAA Tournament bubble.

Depending on results of your game or other teams on the bubble, your position can fluctuate daily as fans of Penn State basketball are finding out.

In his Friday morning bracketology, ESPN’s Joe Lunardi lists Penn State as his last at-large team in the NCAA Tournament.

Lunardi lists Penn State, Wisconsin, Nevada and Mississippi State as his Last Four In. The First Four Out are Michigan, North Carolina, Arizona State and Utah State. The Next Four Out are Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Clemson and Charleston.

Penn State (18-12, 9-10) was boosted last night by Illinois’ double-overtime win over Michigan, along with UCLA beating Arizona State, 79-61. Penn State is currently No. 57 in the NET Rankings and No. 48 in the KenPom Rankings.

Penn State closes out its regular season Sunday afternoon against Maryland at the Bryce Jordan Center.
