Over the last couple of weeks, COVID-19 has been impacting professional sports and is now creeping into college sports.
This morning, multiple reports are out that the Penn State men’s basketball game on Saturday against VCU has been canceled because of COVID-19 within the Nittany Lions program. Both Jeff Borzello and Jeff Goodman were first to come out with this information.
Penn State’s game at VCU scheduled for Saturday has been cancelled due to positive COVID-19 results within the Nittany Lions’ program, per the school. The game will not be rescheduled.

According to Borzello, the game will not be rescheduled. The game was scheduled to take place at 3:30 PM with a tipoff time of 3:30 PM.
Penn State is currently 5-5 and losers of 3 of their last 4 games. The Nittany Lions have started out 0-2 in Big Ten action with losses to Ohio State (76-64) and Michigan State (80-64).
Following the VCU, Penn State’s next scheduled game is Wednesday, December 22 when they host Quinnipiac.
