The list of recruits visiting for Penn State’s Saturday night game against Auburn keeps getting bigger.
Earlier this week, Nittany Sports Now ran down a list of close to fifty players and now we have another big name to add to the list.
2023 4-star quarterback Jaden Rashada from Pittsburg, California will make the trip across country to witness the big matchup on primetime television. Rashada (6-foot-4, 180 pounds) is ranked by Rivals as one of the Top 10 junior quarterbacks in the country and one of the Top 115 overall prospects. Along with Penn State, Rashada also holds offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Auburn, California, Florida, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Ole Miss, Oregon State, Purdue, Tennessee, UCLA, Utah, Washington and Washington State.
Despite being from California, this won’t be Rashada’s first visit to State College. Back in July, he and his family made an unofficial visit, which was his first time ever being on the East Coast. James Franklin originally offered Rashada back in December of 2020 and offensive coordinator Mike Yurchich re-offered shortly after being hired.
Nittany Sports Now caught up with Rashada and asked about making the decision to visit Penn State and what’s stood out to him about the way they’ve recruited him.
“I get to see them play in action, the environment and family up there. I get to see how their offense adapts to defenses and how their offense matches my style of play and how I can see myself running it,” said Rashada. “Penn State stands pretty good with me, a school there’s mutual interest from both of us. I’ve liked how they’ve gone about the recruiting process, including my family for the most of it and making me a priority.”
2022 4-star Penn State quarterback commitment Drew Allar and 2022 3-star quarterback commitment Beau Pribula will also be at the Penn State-Auburn game Saturday night.
