Yet another Penn State basketball player has entered the transfer portal — bringing the total to a whopping nine this offseason — as freshman forward Abdou Tsimbila is now looking to leave.
Penn State had 13 scholarship players last season, so 69 percent of the roster entered the transfer portal at one point (two of those exited the portal and wound up staying, see below).

Tsimbilia, a 6-foot-8, 235-pounder from Cameroon, appeared in 16 games last season. He averaged just 1.1 points and 1.6 rebounds in 4.6 minutes per contest.
Tsimbila came to Penn State as a 3-star recruit from St. Maria Goretti High School in Hagerstown, Md.
Penn State recently added junior college transfer Jevonnie Scott, a 6-7 forward from South Plains College in Texas. With him in the mix, playing time may have been limited for Tsimbila under new coach Micah Shrewsberry.
These are the other eight PSU players who have entered the transfer portal this offseason, and where they wound up:
** Myreon Jones (Florida)
** Jamari Wheeler (Ohio State)
** Izaiah Brockington (Iowa State)
** Trent Buttrick (UMass)
** Patrick Kelly (Fordham)
** DJ Gordon (Fordham)
** Seth Lundy (stayed at PSU)
** John Harrar (stayed at PSU)
