One of Nittany Lion Wrestling Club’s most prominent members, Kyle Snyder, has been arrested as part of a prostitution sting, per 20 WBNS.
This arrest took place May 9 and Snyder was reportedly one of 16 men involved in the operation.
Although Snyder wrestled at Ohio State— where he won three national titles and finished runner-up the one year he didn’t win— Snyder currently trains with NLWC. In the freestyle ranks, Snyder is best-known as the youngest American to win Olympic Gold in men’s wrestling, doing so at the Rio games in 2016 while he was still at OSU.
At the next Olympic Games, Snyder took silver. He didn’t medal in Tokyo this past summer but was still team USA’s representative at 97 KG. He’s won a total of 30 gold medals across all competitions.

Snyder is a three-time world champ and has also won two silver and two bronze medals apiece.
Snyder’s arrest took place in Columbus, Ohio.
“Columbus Police Sgt. Joe Albert said the police division’s Police and Community Together (PACT) unit conducted an undercover operation in the city’s north side on May 9,” the report read. “The operation was aimed at reducing prostitution.”
“Around 8:15 p.m., officers began receiving text messages and phone calls from a man responding to one of the ads. A meeting was arranged at a nearby hotel, according to the department. About 20 minutes later, a man — later identified as Snyder — arrived at the hotel, paid an undercover officer cash and requested a sexual act.”
Uniformed officers arrested Snyder inside the reported hotel room for engaging in prostitution.
Police released Snyder from custody in the same setting and has been summoned to appear in court May 19.
