Penn State Starter Carted Off Field

Penn State Anthony Donkoh loves playing football under Andy Kotelnicki’s scheme.

It looks like Penn State will be playing the rest of Saturday’s game against Minnesota without its starting right tackle.

On PSU’s first possession, Anthony Donkoh went down with an injury.

Not long after, CBS cameras captured him being carted off the field.

So it looks like Nolan Rucci will be Penn State’s starting right tackle for the rest of the afternoon. Rucci, who’s father Todd was  a letterman at Penn State, played his first three college seasons at Wisconsin before transferring to PSU over the winter. Rucci grew up in Lititz, Pennsylvania— which is less than 130 miles away from State College— has gotten a lot of playing time for his hometown team despite not having a starting role. He’s played in each of Penn State’s first 11 games and has gotten at least 20 snaps in half of them.

It looks like he’ll be getting a lot more than 20 against Minnesota.
