It’s getting closer to gametime, and we now know when Penn State football’s Oct. 26 matchup at Wisconsin will kick off and what channel it will be on.
The Big Ten announced Monday afternoon that PSU’s first game against Wisconsin since 2021 will kickoff in prime time on NBC at 7:30.

This will be Penn State’s second night game of the season, with the first being against Illinois Sept. 28 at Beaver Stadium.
Penn State won that game 21-7 and will go into this one with an undefeated record, currently ranked No. 3 in the country behind only top-ranked Texas and Oregon, which is playing its first season in the Big Ten but won’t play Penn State until 2025.
IF ITS ANYTHING LIKE LAST TIME…
Madison is an intimidating place to play anytime but the home team has an extra advantage when the games are at night. If the 2008 Wisconsin Badgers had an extra advantage playing a night game at home against Penn State, it wasn’t much of one come gametime. Penn State, which came in ranked No. 6, beat Wisconsin 48-7. Like that game, Penn State will come in highly-ranked. Also like that game, Wisconsin will likely come in unranked unless it has a big-time performance at Northwestern. Wisconsin is 4-2 with a blowout loss to Alabama at home and a 17-point loss at USC, which Penn State just got a big win over in LA in what was its biggest challenge so far this season.
BUT BEFORE ANY OF THIS…
Penn State will not have a gametime this weekend and will instead get some much-needed rest this coming weekend during its second bye week before it plays Wisconsin. The Badgers will take on Northwestern on the road at noon. PSU fans who’d like to scout the opposition can watch that one on the Big Ten Network.
