With PSU postponed again, question becomes: What kind of wrestling season can happen?

Penn State was supposed to open its wrestling season last weekend at Rutgers, but that was postponed because of COVID issues in the PSU program.

Once again, the Nittany Lions will have to wait to take the mat, as their opener against Michigan State scheduled for Sunday at Rec Hall also has been postponed. The school announced that Thursday evening.

From PSU’s release:

The Penn State-Michigan State wrestling match scheduled for Sunday has been postponed. The universities mutually agreed to the postponement out of an abundance of caution surrounding the health and safety of the student-athletes, coaches and staff. The institutions will work with the Big Ten Conference to identify rescheduling options.

For now, the Lions’ season opener will take place Jan. 30 at Northwestern. Again, for now, but that also could change.
