Penn State football’s second game of the 2026 season didn’t go as well as its first.
Sure, Penn State won somewhat convincingly, 27-9 at Temple.
But 27-9 isn’t as convincing as 45-0, which is how badly Penn State beat Marshall Week 1, and the eye test backed that up.
Penn State and Temple were tied at 3 with seconds to go in the first half, so, yeah, Penn State will be looking for a better start Saturday against Buffalo.
NSN’s Joe Smeltzer joined Alan Saunders late Friday morning on the Pittsburgh Football Show to discuss Penn State’s latest performance, how much non-conference games actually matter and more.
