The NCAA Women’s Volleyball Top 25 Preseason Ranking was just released and the Nittany Lions come in at No. 10 in the country.
They are joined by seven other Big Ten teams with three of them also in the Top Ten.
Nebraska is No. 1 in the country with Wisconsin at No. 6 and Purdue at No. 9.
Minnesota (14), Indiana (16), USC (20) and Oregon (25) rounds off the Top 25.
On Thursday, August 27, Penn State opens their season in an exhibition, four-team tournament called Spikes Under The Lights inside AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
The No. 10 Nittany Lions will take on No. 11 SMU in the second match of the night at approximately 9:00 P.M. EST while No. 1 Nebraska faces No. 17 Florida at 8:00 PM EST.

The Nittany Lions could be on an early season collision course with Big Ten foe and No. 1 ranked Nebraska.
The inaugural Spikes Under The Lights will be nationally televised on TNT.
Penn State will then fly home and prepare for their home opener against UCONN on Saturday, August 29 before heading to Wrigley Field in Chicago to take on No. 3 Kentucky on Sunday, September 6 which will air live of FOX. Then on September 11, Penn State will host No. 5 Stanford at The Palestra in Philadelphia.
The Nittany Lions will definitely be battle-tested early on in the season.
