Former Penn State DT Zane Durant Leads Defensive Lineman in 40-Yard Dash

Fun fact: Zane Durant is faster than Patrick Mahomes and Dak Prescott.

It might be hard to believe, but the former Penn State defensive tackle proved it at the NFL Combine on Thursday.

The 290-pound defensive tackle ran an impressive 4.76 40-yard dash in front of NFL general managers and scouts.

Durant’s time was the best of any defensive tackle invited to Indianapolis.

His 1.66 10-yard sprint is another key indicator of the 6-foot-1 interior defensive lineman’s speed.

Durant bypassed the pros last year to return to PSU for his senior season. In 12 games, Durant recovered 25 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, and his only career interception.

In 54 games as a Nittany Lion, Durant registered 22 tackles for loss and 10 sacks.

The 2026 NFL Draft will be held in Pittsburgh, outside Acrisure Stadium, from April 23-25.
