Penn State Hockey: Veteran Comes Through on Historic Day

Forward Aiden Fink had back-to-back multipoint performances against Michigan - Penn State Athletics

It hasn’t been an easy season for Aiden Fink thus far.

The 2024-25 Hobey Baker Finalist came into Saturday’s game against No. 2 Michigan State at Beaver Stadium with just three goals, having missed seven games due to injury.

But Fink played well for Penn State in the Spengler Cup, which took place at the end of 2025 in Switzerland.

He was named to the All-Star team and was the MVP of the tournament’s semifinal and final rounds.

Now, back in the United States, Fink is back performing, and he got Penn State going with a goal 13 seconds into the second period.

With less than four minutes to go in the period and the game tied at 2, Fink got his second goal of the game to give Penn State its first lead of the two-game series.

Fink is one of the best players in Penn State history, having recently reached the 100-point plateau. For this team to get back to the Frozen Four and win its first national title, it will need Fink to be at his best.
