Penn State football fans will get their first look at new head coach Matt Campbell inside Beaver Stadium this weekend.
It comes three months before the Blue-White game and eight months before Campbell’s team takes the field against Marshall on September 5.
Penn State Athletics announced that Campbell will be introduced on the ice before Penn State men’s hockey’s outdoor game against Michigan State. Campbell will take part in a ceremonial puck drop inside the venue.
Men’s hockey (18-6) ranks No. 5 in the country while the Spartans (19-5), who won the Big Ten regular season last year, sit No. 2. The top 5 matchup begins at 1 p.m.
Penn State and Michigan State will face off inside the Pegula Ice Arena on Friday in the first game of the back-to-back at 6 p.m.
Campbell is also expected to be at Penn State wrestling’s matchup against Nebraska inside the Bryce Jordan Center on Friday night.
Women’s hockey will play Robert Morris on Friday afternoon at 1 p.m. at Beaver Stadium, and play back at Pegula Saturday at 6 p.m.
The 2026 Penn State football schedule was revealed on Tuesday and the Big Ten schedule begins at home against Wisconsin on September 26.
