Linebacker Cam Smith announced his return to Penn State Monday, sharing the news via Instagram that he will be back with the Nittany Lions for the upcoming season. The four-star prospect appeared in one game during the 2025 season, logging a snap against UCLA.

Smith arrived in State College with an impressive high school resume and remains a highly regarded talent in Penn State’s linebacker room. He played at St. Joseph’s Prep, where he was a two-time team captain. Smith helped St. Joe’s to a state title his junior season.
