There’s a new all-time king on the Penn State rushing list.
With more than 139 yards against Nebraska on Senior Night at Beaver Stadium, Kaytron Allen is now Penn State’s all-time leading rusher, breaking Evan Royster’s mark which stood for more than 15 years.
It’s a well-deserved honor for Allen.
In a season where just about everything has gone wrong for Penn State’s, Allen has consistently been at his best. The result has been another 1,000-yard campaign for Allen.
It would have been easy for Allen to be discouraged with how the season has gone, but he’s just continued to put in work.
“Anytime I go out there, it reminds me of how much I love football,” Allen said after his 181-yard performance Nov. 15 at Michigan State. “Anytime I step out on the field, because like I said, football keeps my mind off a lot of things. It’s been a long year, long season, long year with my family, stuff like that. So whenever I play football, it keeps my mind off things. Just try to do it for my family, my mom, and all them supporters, everybody for real.”

Allen also has the appreciation of his teammates.
“Oh my gosh, man,” Anthony Donkoh said after Michigan State. “Like I said last time, I think (after) Iowa, it’s a blessing, man. It’s impressive with what he can do with the rock in his hands. Same with Nick (Singleton), too. I’m just glad he was able to bust a lot open today.”
