McAfee: Penn State is ‘All The F*** In’

Nobody on College GameDay picked Penn State-Washington

Add Pat McAfee to the list of who believes Penn State is going all in after their recent hiring.

He and the other personalities discussed the hiring of Jim Knowles on his show Monday afternoon.

‘You Don’t Mess Around With Jim’: Penn State Set to Hire Jim Knowles as Defensive Coordinator

“Penn State’s alumni … all in,” McAfee said. “Penn State’s athletic department, all in. Penn State as a whole in all sports, all in and I think this is another message, Hey, we’re f***ing for real here.”

McAfee and company are right. This might be a football move, but this is something athletic director Dr. Patrick Kraft has been all about in other sports since arriving in 2022.

“This is not, we’re not just trying, we are going to win a national championship here,” McAfee said.

Hiring Knowles away from Ohio State proves PSU isn’t afraid to make a splash hire and make waves in the national landscape. It also shows Penn State has the money to compete with the elites.

“Money is not an option, or a tough thing to find in the Penn State alumni streets for one reason or another,” McAfee said.

McAfee isn’t wrong. There are a plethora of big names who have the potential for high-level donations. PSU has the most CEOs who are alumni in the country. It seems as though there could be more coming soon with the amount of money coming from the woodworks for Beaver Stadium renovations and NIL.
