Penn State needs a win bad, and as we do every week, it’s time for predictions.
Will Penn State bounce back from another crushing loss at the hands of the Buckeyes, or will an upset unleash a whole new level of anger in Central Pennsylvania?
Will Penn State’s offense do something crazy, like score a touchdown? Well, they better, or the honeymoon period with coordinator Andy Kotelnicki will soon be over.
Here are our staff’s predictions for Penn State-Washington.

Penn State failed to win the game their fans wanted to win above all else, but that doesn’t mean the 2024 Nittany Lions aren’t still a great team. And just because Penn State may not be on par with Ohio State, that doesn’t mean that loss will unravel and ruin the season.
This isn’t the Huskies team that played for a national championship. Washington has been inconstant and up and down all season, something Penn State will take advantage of.
James Franklin’s team gets back on track under the Beaver Stadium lights, comfortably taking care of Washington to make the White Out Night a good night in State College.

It’s a perfect time for a bounce back game with the Whiteout. But maybe this time Tyler Warren will have the ball in his hands when it matters the most.

Penn State needs to come out and handle their business. It’s important for them to establish the run against what could be a jet-lagged Washington team. Moving forward, the Nittany Lions need to win big to cement their spot in the College Football Playoff.

Penn State has no choice but to beat Washington. If Penn State wins its next four games, it will be in the College Football Playoff, most likely playing at home, which would give James Franklin a chance to coach against a big-time team and not get booed. Penn State is 27-5 over the past three seasons in the regular season against teams that aren’t Michigan or Ohio State.
Washington is a mediocre team that hasn’t won a game on the road yet. I don’t think its first Big Ten road win will be in White Out conditions. If it is, the hostile postgame scene after last week’s Ohio State loss will look like Disney World.
