Whether it’s at Penn State or anywhere else, the next seven days will be nerve wracking for college football coaches since we’re one week away from National Signing Day.

The last couple of weeks have been filled with high school recruits announcing their intention to flip from one school to another and that will no doubt continue.

James Franklin and Penn State’s Class of 2025 currently has verbal commitments from 26 players and is ranked by Rivals.com as No. 26 in the country.

The question now is between now and next Wednesday, who will Penn State add, and will any players decide to flip their commitment.

We could get an answer to that second question soon as a couple of current Penn State commitments are exploring other programs.

The first of those players is 4-star defensive end Chaz Coleman from Warren, Ohio.

Coleman made his verbal to Penn State Nov. 10 but he recently received an offer from the Ohio State Buckeyes. This offer went out to Coleman just days after 4-star defensive end Zahir Mathis decommitted from Ohio State.

Now, 247Sports is reporting that Coleman will be in Columbus this weekend for Ohio State’s matchup against Michigan.

The second one is 4-star defensive end Jayden Woods from Shawnee, Kansas.

Steve Wilfong from On3 Sports reports that last weekend, Woods made a GameDay visit for the Gators matchup against Ole Miss.

Woods is the top-rated players in Penn State’s Class of 2025 as 247 Sports has him as the No. 76 overall player and the No. 7 rush end.

Prior committing to Penn State on June 26th, Woods held offers from Alabama, Baylor, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, LSU, Miami Fla., Michigan, Michigan State, Missouri, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oregon, Stanford, Tennessee, Texas A&M, USC and Wisconsin.

This weekend, Penn State will be working to impress 2025 4-star quarterback Bryce Baker, who’s currently committed to North Carolina.
