Penn State has offered a four-star LB who is a WPIAL prospect and ACC commit.
That ACC school just so happens to be former Penn State DC Manny Diaz and Duke.
Bradley Gompers is his name, and he’s a 6-foot-5, 215-pound OLB from Pittsburgh Central Catholic. 247Sports has Gompers as the No. 9 overall player in Pennsylvania from his class and the No. 32 linebacker in the country.
After a conversation with @coachjfranklin I’m excited to receive an offer from @PennStateFball!! pic.twitter.com/K3o71DAUrM

PCC is a school Penn State knows quite well.
Two of the team’s true freshmen— WR Peter Gonzalez and LB Anthony Speca— played for Central, and Class of 2025 commit Xxavier Thomas is currently there. Gompers is a four-star in the same class as Thomas who, like Speca before him, has excelled at the linebacker position.
Gompers committed to Duke in June. Since then, he’s been offered by NC State and Ole Miss, both within the past week, and now PSU.
Gompers also took official visits to Michigan State and Rutgers along with Duke. He committed to Duke a little more than a week after his official visit. Although Gompers hadn’t received an offer before now, he has visited Penn State on a few occasions. This past February, he attended one of the schools Junior Day events.
Last season, he visited Beaver Stadium for the team’s games against Iowa and Michigan.
Penn State currently has three linebackers committed to its 2025 Class. Two of them— Alex Tatsch (Latrobe) and Dayshaun Burnett (Imani Christian) are Pittsburgh guys like Gompers.
The third one, Cam Smith, was also committed to Duke, like Gompers. Time will tell if Gompers follows in Smith’s footsteps and commits to Penn State.
