Did Penn State defensive coordinator Manny Diaz troll Michigan?
After Wednesday’s practice, multiple Penn State players and coaches were filmed giving quick pump-up messages to the fans ahead of Saturday’s showdown against Michigan at Beaver Stadium.
For the most part, it was standard.
But when Manny Diaz got his turn to deliver a message, he did so not with words, but with signals.
In case you’ve been living under a rock, Michigan is currently under investigation for alleged sign stealing.
Instead of saying “be there early,” Diaz pointed to his wrist.
Instead of saying “be loud,” Diaz gestured toward his ear.
Instead of saying “especially on third down,” he held his index finger and thumb together.
Afterward, Diaz said “those are the signals” and briefly went over what the meant.
Watch here.
Be Early. ⌚️
Be Loud. 👂
Especially on 3rd Down. 👌
