Steve Jones has long been the voice of Penn State  and has a bevy of knowledge about the inner workings of Penn State football.

He also host his own radio show in State College, The Steve Jones Show. He occasionally will drop some major nuggets on the football team and his show Tuesday had a juicy one.

Jones mentioned that both he and broadcast partner Jack Ham knew Michigan staffer Connor Stalions had purchased tickets for the Penn State’s matchup against Ohio State this past Saturday.

“Jack and I knew at 8:30 Saturday morning that the tickets were bought on each side of the stadium,” Jones said. “We knew three and a half hours before kickoff.”

It’s fair to say there was absolutely no chance Ohio State officials would’ve let anybody associated with Stalion in the stadium and Jones admitted as much.

“We also knew that Ohio State was not going to under any circumstances lead those people into the stadium,” Jones said. “Either they elected not to attend because of what had happened, or they weren’t let in. I would think that it may have been the former not the latter.”

Jones said Stalion and his spies were reportedly no strangers to Penn State games having been to multiple this season.

“That would have been game three this season that it is alleged that they would have attended or may have had tickets to and it was,” Jones said.

There’s still much, much more to come from the details that keep emerging by the minute. It is expected the NCAA will move swiftly to determine the next steps for the Wolverines.

Michigan has a bye this week, but will face Purdue next week at Michigan Stadium. Penn State hosts Michigan at Beaver Stadium the following week for a Big Noon Kickoff tilt.
