Drew Allar threw for four touchdown passes and the defense shut down Iowa as they defeated Iowa in the White Out game 31-0.
After a series of punts to start the game for both teams, Penn State got on the board first on a 46-yard field goal from Alex Felkins. This concluded a 14-play, 52-yard drive.
Penn State led 3-0 at the end of the first quarter.
After a fortunate luck with a punt going off an Iowa player that was recovered by Curtis Jacobs, Drew Allar connected with Khalil Dinkins on a nine-yard touchdown reception on a fourth and one. This drive concluded a ten-play, 38-yard drive.
Penn State continued to shut down Iowa’s offense as they controlled the ball in a slog of a first half Penn State led 10-0 at halftime.
In the opening drive of the second half, Penn State continued to dominate the ball as they went on a 15-play, 75-yard drive that concluded in a two-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Warren from Allar.
After Penn State forced a fifth straight three and-out from Iowa, Allar connected with Warren again on a seven-yard touchdown pass to put Penn State 24-0.
On Iowa’s ensuing possession, Chop Robinson recorded a strip-sack on Iowa ate Cade McNamara that was recovered by Adisa Isaac as the third quarter wound down as Penn State maintained its 24-0 lead to end the first quarter.
Penn State capitalized on a three-yard touchdown pass from Allar to Lambert-Smith.
Penn State will take its show on the road at Ryan Field to take on Northwestern, while Iowa will host Michigan State next weekend.
