4-Star ‘24 WR Nick Marsh Making Penn State OV Weekend of June 9

Four-star Class of 2024 receiver Nick Marsh has scheduled his official visit to Penn State for June 9.

On3Sports reported Tuesday afternoon that Marsh plans to visit Penn State the weekend of June 9, with additional visits planned for Kansas (June 14), Auburn June 16) and fellow Big Ten school Michigan State (June 23).

He had initially been committed to Michigan State, doing so late last July, but de-committed March 7.

Penn State’s had Marsh on its radar for a while, offering him in May 2021 between his freshman and sophomore seasons. Marsh stands out at River Rouge High School in River Rouge, Michigan, roughly an hour and a half from East Lansing, where Michigan State is.

Marsh last visited Penn State April 6, making an unofficial trip.

In a 247Sports evaluation before the 2022 football season, National Recruiting Analyst Allen Trieu wrote that Marsh is a “big, physical receiver who has played up on the varsity since freshman year.”

“Has always been ahead of the curve as far as size and strength,” he wrote. “Also has very good ball skills and the body control necessary to use his size. Contested passes are not really 50-50 balls for him as he comes down with a large percentage of them. Has improved his suddenness and straight-line speed. Still has to keep doing that, especially for a player of his size to create separation at the college level.”

Trieu also wrote that Marsh shows his “route running craft and technique” but “just has to keep adding to his quickness.”

“Will have a chance to play early because he will be physically ready,” the report reads. “Will be a major red-zone threat and a physical mismatch for opponents and projects as an impact outside receiver at the high-major level.”
