Wagner made an official visit to Happy Valley on June 25, and he was in attendance for the Lions’ “White Out” victory over Auburn back in September. However, the lure of the Fighting Irish proved too much to pass up for the talented tackle from Ohio.
According to 247Sports, Wagner is the 116th-ranked recruit in the class, checking in as the 11th-ranked tackle and the sixth-ranked recruit from Ohio. Rivals rates him as the 202nd-ranked recruit in the class, checking in as the 23rd-ranked tackle and the ninth-ranked recruit from Ohio.
The Lions have already secured the second- and fourth-ranked recruits from Ohio, in the form of five-star quarterback Drew Allar and four-star wide receiver Kaden Saunders. PSU has also picked up commitments from four-star tackle Drew Shelton, three-star JUCO transfer tackle JB Nelson, three-star tackle Andre Roye and three-star tackle Maleek McNeil.
