Penn State Opens as 17.5-Point Underdogs to Ohio State

Penn State has opened as a 17.5-point underdog for the Nittany Lions’ Week 9 trip to Columbus, Ohio to face Ohio State on Saturday, according to lines released Sunday by Circa Sports. The total for the game is 60.5 points.

The Lions (5-2, 1-2 in Big Ten) are 4-3 against the spread this season, but have failed to cover in consecutive games. Penn State games have gone under five times and over the total twice.

Ohio State (6-1, 3-0) is 4-2-1 against the spread this season, but the Buckeyes have covered in four straight weeks. Ohio State has gone over the total five times and under twice.

The Bucks are 21-14 all-time against the Nits, and have won four straight overall as well as four straight in Ohio Stadium. Penn State’s last win over Ohio State came on Oct. 22, 2016.
