A $20,000 reward is being offered for anyone with information that will lead to an arrest in the case of Karli Short’s murder on Sept. 13 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, former Penn State linebacker Brandon Short announced on Twitter Thursday afternoon.
Karli was shot and killed in Christy Park, McKeesport earlier this month, losing her own life and the life of her unborn child. The Short’s family and local community leaders came together to pool the 20K reward in the hopes of an arrest being made and justice being served to the murderer. Short was an All-American linebacker at Penn State from 1997-99 before being drafted in the fourth round of the 2000 NFL Draft. He would spend seven seasons in the league with the New York Giants and Carolina Panthers. He was elected to Penn State’s Board of Trustees in 2018.
