Watch: RB Devyn Ford talks about going from third string to starting role

Devyn Ford met with the media Wednesday morning and discussed several topics. It was the first time we’ve heard from Ford this season after he’s taken over the starting tailback job.

Ford entered the season as the third-string tailback. But then Journey Brown couldn’t play because of a heart condition, and Noah Cain was injured on the first series of the season opener at Indiana.

Ford also talks about scoring a touchdown in the closing minutes at Indiana, when the Lions would have won the game if he had only gone down inside the 5-yard line. The Hoosiers let him score, then came back and won in OT.
