Micah Parsons has been projected as high as the No. 2 overall pick in some mock drafts, and in the top five of many, but he’s down at No. 8 in CBSSports’ latest mock, going to the Broncos.
Here’s the top 10, according to Ryan Wilson’s mock from earlier this week.
Interestingly enough, Wilson had Parsons at No. 2 in his mock three weeks ago. But the linebacker has dropped six spots this time around.
Here’s what CBSSports had to say about Parsons:
“The Broncos are thin at linebacker behind Josey Jewell and A.J. Johnson, and Johnson will be a restricted free agent after the season. Parsons, meanwhile, is a dynamo who has the athleticism, physicality and playmaking ability we see in the modern NFL linebacker. He opted out for the 2020 season, but there was a lot to like on his 2019 tape.”
This mock draft has Penn State defensive end Jayson Oweh going No. 19 overall to the Titans.
The scouting report on Oweh:
“Harold Landry is off to a strong start, but there’s virtually no depth behind him (and Jadeveon Clowney is on a one-year deal). Oweh needs more reps, but he’s a physical marvel who has flashed the type of potential that could make him special.”
A third Nittany Lion in the first round is tight end Pat Freiermuth, who’s slotted at No. 31 to the Jets.
“The Jets desperately need weapons and Freiermuth can do it all. And in just about any other draft class, he’d be the first tight end off the board.”
