Nittany Notebook (9-28): Could PSU’s opener at Indiana be on a Friday?

Welcome to our daily Nittany Notebook. This post will be updated with news frequently throughout the day, so be sure to check back often to stay on top of everything that’s going on with Penn State football and athletics, plus other sports of interest in central PA.

**Penn State offered this Louisville commit yesterday. Now he has decommitted from Louisville this evening.

Update: 6:10

**Here’s a good laugh. Some rules to live by from the basketball coach in “Teen Wolf.”

Update: 2:20 p.m.

**Could Penn State’s season opener at Indiana be played on Friday night, Oct. 23, instead of Saturday? Hoosiers coach Tom Allen apparently isn’t sure.

All schedules list the game for Saturday the 24th. But the Big Ten certainly could be looking to move games to Friday nights this year, and the PSU at Indiana contest would be a reasonable and good draw on a Friday as perhaps the league’s opening game of the season.

I received this message from a PSU spokesman about the possibility of a Friday game:

“The Big Ten’s schedule announcement referenced the season opening the weekend of Oct. 24. We have not received additional information from the conference office at this time.”

**Big blow for Hoosiers

12:25 p.m.

**They have Micah Parsons going No. 3, Jayson Oweh No. 10 and Pat Freiermuth No. 20. Check out the analysis.
